Welcome to Jack in the Box Preschool

We pride ourselves on providing high quality inclusive childcare in a friendly and welcoming environment. We value each child as individual learners and take time to create a curriculum that reflects this and engage children in developing key skills in accordance to the EYFS.

Our children are happy, curious and motivated in a safe and secure environment where children are presented with opportunities to learn through independent discovery and exploration.
Our children gain good self esteem as staff praise their efforts and celebrate their achievements. We value the security and sense of belonging that a positive and meaningful relationship with a child’s parents can create.
Both indoor and outdoor learning environments aim to stimulate and support children, enabling them to create their own ideas, using their imaginations to freely express themselves.
Children play enthusiastically with a good variety of stimulating toys and resources that they can freely access themselves. Our established staff enjoy their jobs and work effectively together and are committed to developing and reflecting on their excellent practices to ensure children’s individual needs are appropriately met.

A huge big thank you to all the parents and children who have been part of the Jack in the Box family and helped us reach this milestone on September 23rd 2023, we could not have done it without you.

The Early Years sector is ever changing and with lots more new funding being available it can be a bit confusing to know what is available for you, we are here to help!

We will happily welcome you into our setting to have a look around and chat through all that is on offer for you and your child.

With the introduction of the new funding and its availability to more families it’s important you don’t delay, our waiting lists for future years are already filling up.

At Jack in the Box we are happy for you to express an interest but we will always welcome you back nearer the time before you commit to us as a Setting.

Sometimes it’s hard to know what your child needs, or personal circumstances will be so early in advance, but it is good to get an idea of what’s out there for you.

Both of my children attended Jack in the Box before going to school. They loved their time there and were very sad to leave when they started school. There is a fantastic team who are all very child centered.

Thank you all for a wonderful time at Jack in the Box. I have thoroughly enjoyed my work experience here. All the staff are so friendly and welcoming. I hope to come back soon to visit and help out again.

Jack in the Box is a little gem. Both my daughter and son started at this playgroup. It is well run and has highly qualified, friendly staff in a clean and stimulating environment. It has a lovely garden full of equipment and toys for the children to use. I have recommended this playgroup highly to my family and friends.

I just wanted to say a heartfelt thank you for giving Alistair such a wonderful experience over the last year at pre-school. He has always loved coming and seems to have been settled pretty much from day one. I know you all work really hard running the pre-school and it shows.
