We are fortunate to have both male and female members of staff in employment. All staff are DBS approved. All our permanent staff are NVQ level 3 qualified. We have at least two members of staff who are first aid qualified and hold level 2 food hygiene certificates. We pride ourselves on attending regular EYFS training courses and keep up to date with all relevant legislation. We welcome students and work experience pupils from the local schools and colleges, and have supported the apprenticeship scheme.
Key Person Scheme
When a child starts with us they will be allocated a key person, this will be a member of staff who will monitor the child’s progress whilst they are with us. Records are made of each child’s achievements and are available to view and contribute to at any time. We hold coffee mornings each term for parents to meet their child’s key worker and discuss their progress. These records will be passed on to the relevant schools, with permission, when the child leaves us.

As playgroup funds are limited, we hold regular fundraising events to raise money for new equipment. We encourage parents to get involved in our fundraising events. We have an annual summer fair and lots of other events that children can get involved in throughout the year. All money raised is ploughed back into playgroup equipment. You can find regular updates and dates for your diary on our Facebook page.
